Built in Los Angeles in 1938, this colonial style house It was destined to become the home of a modern family with two dogs.

But getting the four members (not counting the dogs) to be at ease, required the help of architect Peter Audelo to carry out a Integral reform that made the back of the house more functional.

In this way, the kitchen with central island and office It opened to the living room, making this space the nerve center of all activities, including a small desk as a work area in a corner of the room. In turn, the old living room and the original service rooms of the time gave rise to the master suite with integrated bathroom, connected to the family room by building a new hallway.

As for interior design, in charge of designstiles, the owners wanted to recreate a style inspired by Napa and Ojai, with California airs where the carpets vintage and traditional furniture combined with modern textiles, materials and finishes. With a neutral tone as a base, the color was incorporated in small doses together with varied patterns and textures to conceive a warm and cozy atmosphere throughout the house.
